Treatment consent and health
Last updated: October 20, 2026
Before your treatment
Before your first treatment at Test Spa, your professional will review your skin and ask about your health. You may also be asked to sign a written consent for specific treatments. You can ask questions at any time and decline any treatment.
Tell us if any of these apply
Pregnancy or breastfeeding; allergies (including to ingredients, latex or anesthetics); medications such as isotretinoin (Accutane) in the last 6–12 months, retinoids, antibiotics or blood thinners; skin conditions (active acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, cold sores/herpes, open wounds, infections); keloid or abnormal scarring; recent sun exposure, tanning, waxing, laser, peels, injectables or surgery; diabetes, autoimmune or bleeding disorders; pacemakers or metal implants (for devices); and any change since your last visit.
Possible effects
Even when performed correctly, cosmetic treatments can cause temporary redness, sensitivity, swelling, dryness, peeling, breakouts or, rarely, changes in pigmentation, irritation or allergic reactions. Your professional will explain the specific effects of your treatment and the aftercare to follow. Follow the aftercare instructions and use sunscreen.
Your responsibilities
Answer all health questions truthfully, follow pre- and post-treatment instructions, and tell us immediately if you have an unexpected reaction. If something worries you after a treatment, contact us and, if needed, a physician.
No medical services
We do not diagnose or treat medical conditions. Some treatments may require medical clearance; your professional may ask for it before proceeding.
Photos
We may take photos to track your progress; they stay private in your file. We will publish before-and-after photos only with your separate written permission, which you can withdraw for future use.
Minors
Clients under 18 need a parent or legal guardian present who signs the consent.
